Reflection

Briefly discuss what you learned this semester and how you will use this information for the future.

Through the semseter, I learned how to write more effectively and that will help me personally with my passion for writing stories, and will help me academically for writing research papers for other courses. I also learned a lot about the topics I researched about, which are Schadenfreude, FOMO, and procrastination.

How has your understanding of your topic grown or changed since the beginning of the semester?

Researching about Schadenfreude has taught me that emotions could be really complex and finding the sources of these emotions might require some self-reflection. Exploring the phenomenon of FOMO made me discover that simple acts can solve difficult problems. Uncovering why I procrastinate showed me how it can be so easy to avoid procrastination if we build simple productive habits slowly but consistently.

What was the most significant thing you learned about your topic? How did you learn that information?

The most useful and important thing I learned from all my topics is how to beat procrastination if I stay focused and change my mindset. I learned that from a website called Procrastination, which is run by entrepreneurs, motivational speakers, engineers, and other occupations that require a mindset of consistency and discipline.
